We are seeking Cost Analystfor our First Quality Tissue plant. This position will be located in Lock Haven, PA. The Cost Analyst is responsible for supporting all cost accounting duties required within the manufacturing organization.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Maintains and has complete ownership of all daily cost accounting functions in the SAP system, including analysis of work-orders, inventory, and production reporting
  • Ongoing analysis of inventory and production variances that results in follow-up and resolutions of findings
  • Assists on updates standard raw material costing on a monthly basis to ensure accurate cost system information.
  • Participates in annual planning/budgeting process overhead rate development, cycle time standards, etc.
  • Provides product costing data and analysis for use in customer RFQs. Involves acquiring knowledge of BOMs and communicating clearly the impact of raw material component changes.
  • Assists with monthly general ledger close, compiling of financial statements, and commentary on financial results, including preparation of inventory reserves and reconciliations
  • Creates weekly manufacturing key indicators package and participate in related analytics.
  • Partners with the Department Managers to provide financial and operational leadership to help drive and achieve plant objectives.
  • Assists with problem resolution and improvement opportunities.
  • Completes assignments as delegated by the Director of Finance and Senior Cost Analyst.
  • Other duties, as assigned

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

  • Bachelor s degree Finance or Accounting.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred, but not required.
  • Knowledge of SAP a plus, but ability to adapt and quickly learn new systems is a must.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, etc.).
  • This position does not manage people but requires the ability to work with people at all levels of the Company.
  • Requires the ability to gather and analyze data and come to logical supportable conclusions.
  • Requires clear and persuasive communication, both written and oral.
  • Well organized with strong time management skills and attention to detail.
  • Must follow through on multiple projects in a fast paced environment.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and improvement of technical and leadership skills.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
